For almost 35 years, Robosoft nv, in Ypres, has specialised in the design and development of software and CNC controls, mainly for industrial sheet-metal working machines. Since the first automated robot in 1986, technology has changed considerably. The software made by the West-Flanders company is not tied to different brands of robots and sheet-metal working machines. Robosoft's controls work on all possible machines for flat sheets, such as shears, bending machines, punching machines, laser cutting machines and plasma cutting machines.

Customer requirements change and increase: more automation, more and better functionalities, faster and better quality production. Robosoft nv grows along with the new requirements in the market and calls on Koning & Hartman for assistance. Robosoft wanted to equip its middle range CNC folding machines with graphic HMIs.

In response to customer requirements and technical demands Robosoft chose Koning & Hartman industrial touch panel PCs as graphic HMIs for the middle range CNC bending machines. These industrial PCs are guaranteed to be fully dust and water proof.

Koning & Hartman's experts worked closely with Robosoft's specialists to present a first prototype within the first month of the application. After optimisation of the prototype and internal performance and functional tests at Robosoft, the final product was delivered.

Great satisfaction with the custom project on both sides resulted in a contract for long-term cooperation. Koning & Hartman now also supplies Robosoft with an industrial box PC that will serve as a controller. The same project approach is followed, from prototype through test phase to serial delivery.
